The American Alliance of Healthcare Providers reviews information such as Web sites, news releases, announcements and phone surveys of hospital staff to determine America’s 100 choice hospitals.

Joint Commission Accredited

Miller Children's is a Joint Commission Accredited Hospital. The Joint Commission’s accreditation is a nationwide seal of approval. Miller Children’s was re-accredited on March 12, 2010, meeting all Joint Commission standards in safety and quality of care.

Named One of the Safest Children’s Hospitals

Miller Children's has been named one of the nation's top children's hospitals for quality and safety by the Leapfrog Group. Miller Children’s is recognized as a high performing children's hospital by four of California’s leading health plans – Aetna, Blue Shield of California, CIGNA HealthCare of California and UnitedHealthcare – for its outstanding commitment to health care quality and patient safety. Miller Children's received this recognition in 2006 and 2007 based on results from the Leapfrog Hospital Quality and Safety Survey.
