Balloons for Luv

Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach is one of the only Southern California children’s hospitals to have Balloons for Luv. Balloons for Luv is a special non-profit organization that provides special mylar balloons for pediatric patients during their hospitalization – with messages tailored just to their specific needs.

Balloons for Luv Station

The Balloons for Luv station is stocked with colorful mylar balloons, helium, ribbon and other supplies so Child Life Specialists can easily lift a child’s spirits. There are many different Balloons For Luv messages, whether it's to celebrate an important milestone for the patient, such as a birthday, or for a patient who needs an uplifting reminder of hope and encouragement.

There are even balloons with messages in Spanish for Spanish-speaking patients as well as messages that appeal to teens.

Balloons for Luv was founded on the principle that the most effective way to treat children suffering from chronic or serious illness is to support medical treatment with a special kind of moral support designed especially for children.
