JJCCC Community Outreach Events
The Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Center (JJCCC) at Miller Children’s Hospital
Long Beach understands the challenges that families face when their child is diagnosed with cancer or a serious blood disorder. To further support its patients and families, JJCCC hosts several community outreach events throughout the year. These community outreach events are designed specifically for JJCCC patients and families and are intended to help educate families going through similar experiences. Whether it’s an educational seminar or a fun-filled outing to connect families an experienced team of social workers, psychologists and child life specialists lead and support each event.

2nd Annual Beckstrand Foundation Hematology/Oncology Art Show for Patients and Families
Patients, families, friends and the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Center (JJCCC) care team are invited to attend the 2nd annual Hematology/Oncology Art Show. This year the theme is “Hopes and Dreams.” Patients of JJCCC at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach will paint, color, collage and shine with creativity, expressing their hopes and dreams through art. Art therapy often helps children cope with life-threatening illnesses. This event was put on in partnership with Beckstrand Cancer Foundation.
