Dr. Sherif Emil is Director of the Division of Pediatric General Surgery at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, and Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at McGill University. Dr. Emil was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up in several developing countries where his parents practiced as physicians.

Objectives:
1. Evaluate the role of fundoplication in the treatment of pediatric gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
2. Assess current indications for, and outcomes of fundoplication, for pediatric GERD.
3. Learn of potential new alternatives for fundoplication in pediatric GERD.
