Best PracticesMiller Children’s Hospital Long Beach is committed to providing best practice quality care and ensuring that every patient and their family receive patient and family centered care. Hand Washing InitiativeSetting the standard for quality health care starts at the patient’s bedside. Every single person on the health care team, from physicians to housekeeping, participates in a campus-wide hand washing initiative called, “It’s Ok to Ask!” Miller Children’s encourages patients and their families to feel comfortable in asking physicians, nurses and anyone on the health care team if they have washed their hands. “It’s Ok to Ask!” hand washing signs are posted in every patient room at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach reminding families and patients to ask their child’s health care team if they have washed their hands. |
