Welcome to Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach! Parents and visitors are an important part of a child's recovery in the hospital. Miller Children's wants what's best for the patient and their siblings, family members and friends. Help Miller Children's create the safest environment possible for patients, and ensure family and friends have a pleasant visit.
Whether your child’s visit to Miller Children’s is planned or the result of a sudden urgent need, having your child admitted to the hospital can be difficult and Miller Children’s wants parents to be as prepared as possible for a child’s hospitalization. The Parent Advisory Board, made up of parents whose children have been hospitalized or have chronic illnesses, has compiled tip sheets and lists to help parents prepare for their stay in the hospital, navigate through the hospitalization process and offer support during discharge planning.
The health care team knows that you will have many questions. Please do not hesitate to ask about anything. It is much better to ask a question than worry. Everyone caring for you and your child wants to help you understand and cope with your child’s hospitalization.
