Sibling Time

Sometimes, siblings have the hardest time with a brother or sister’s hospitalization. As part of patient and family centered care, Miller Children’s Hospital offers a special program just for siblings of patients.

Sibling time is a complimentary program where parents of hospitalized children can bring healthy siblings, ages 12 and under to the Starlight Playroom, where they can relax and have some fun with other kids. Child Life Assistants watch over the playroom and play and talk with the siblings.

Children must be signed in, attendance is recorded and a “Condition of Admission” form is turned in. All children must be signed out only by a parent or legal guardian.
