Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach has expanded its transport program by combining multiple specialties – general pediatrics, high-risk maternal-fetal, pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care – to create a comprehensive transport program. The MCHLB transport team coordinates all aspects of timely, safe transport: 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.
Once a patient is referred to the MCHLB Transport Program, the specialized transport care team grabs all of the necessary equipment and goes to the referring hospital. Once at Miller Children’s, in-house board eligible/certified pediatric hospitals, intensivists, neonatologists, maternal fetal medicine specialists and anesthesiologists are available 24/7 to deliver the highest quality care.
