Neonatologists & Care Team

The NICU has board-certified/eligible neonatologists in-house and an expert NICU care team that covers specialty and supportive care. These experts provide a full-range of neonatal intensive care, including everything from treatment of infection to complex neurological surgery. A specially trained health care team at Miller Children’s, known for providing life-saving care, is available for critically ill babies.

A neonatologist is a hospital-based sub-specialist that cares for and treats newborn infants, who are premature or critically ill. A neonatologist is in-house, 24/7 at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.
