One of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation's youngest South Bay Ambassador, donor and former patient, Jamie Danis, 9, and her friends, recently stopped by for a tour of the new Miller Children's pavilion after contributing a generous gift from their lemonade stand proceeds. And it doesn’t end there, the group also recently ran their own Miller Children’s fundraising booth at the Manhattan Beach Home Town Fair.

Wally Joyner & Friends Golf Classic

The Wally Joyner & Friends Golf Classic benefitted the Pediatric Outpatient Centers of Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach. Dr. Barry Steinmetz, Medical Director of the Pediatric Outpatient Careline, presented at the dinner and auction following a day of golf, to thank the more than 170 participants for their support. Former Angel greats such as Mark Langston, Kirk McCaskill, Bob Boone and Jim Abbott joined Wally Joyner on the course and at the dinner and auction that raised more than $100,000 to support Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach. Electronic medical records for the Outpatient Centers is an important priority and the golf tournament proceeds will help in the funding of this.
