Specialists & Care Team
The Stramski Children’s Developmental Center has several expert care teams that have been exclusively developed to meet your child’s special care needs.
Board-Certified Developmental Pediatrician
A pediatrician who has completed specialized training in child development and is trained to collect detailed information, complete a physical examination and complete tests to measures development, to make a diagnosis.

Additional BNP Team
- A nurse specialist - are responsible for arranging authorizations for procedures, appointments, special tests and studies and communication among the child, family, school, primary care physician, team and others involved in the care of the child. The nurse specialist also assists the child and family in obtaining medical supplies, laboratory appointments and other care as needed.
- Physical therapist - PT’s are health care professionals concerned with prevention, treatment and management of movement disorders arising from conditions and diseases occurring throughout the child’s growth.
- Occupational therapist - OT’s assess functioning in activities of everyday living, including dressing, bathing, grooming and writing, that are essential for independent living.
- Licensed clinical social worker - are trained in psychotherapy and helps the child deal with a variety of mental health and daily living problems to improve overall daily life.

Additional Craniofacial Team
- Neurosurgeon – a doctor who is specially-trained in the treatment of children with head, spine or nervous system conditions or problems
- Pediatric dentist – a Dentist who specializes in the treatment of children's teeth and children's oral diseases.
- Speech language therapist – are therapists that assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and fluency.

Additional Sleep Disorders Care Team
- Clinical Supervisor, Respiratory Care
- PSG technologist (sleep tech) - works with a team to diagnose and treat patients with sleep disorders.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) – specially trained technologists, who perform overnight polysomnograms on children with suspected sleep disorders.
