Come on out to the beach for the Super Kids Sunday 5K and Fun Run. This event is sponsored by the UC Irvine Pediatrics Residents and Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach to raise awareness on childhood obesity, and promote a day of fitness and wellness for people of all ages.
The Pediatric Residents from the University of California Irvine are hosting this exciting event that will feature a Health, Nutrition, and Fitness Expo at the race finish. The Health, Nutrition and Fitness Expo at the finish line will be created just for kids and their families, with interactive displays showing ways to eat smart and to make staying fit fun! There will be plenty of games for kids of all ages and giveaways promoting the fight against childhood obesity. All children who finish the fun run will receive an award for finishing the race. Individual runners and teams, families and kids are all invited to come out for the morning to support childhood obesity initiatives and learn how to eat right, exercise properly and keep their body healthy.
The Expo is free and open to non-runners.
Walkers and first time runners are all welcome. Come with your family and friends to help support this worthy cause, take action against a growing epidemic, and enjoy a beautiful morning by the beach.

The start area and Expo is 5101 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803.
7 a.m. - Registration Opens (Race bibs and t-shirts can be picked up starting at 7 a.m.)
8 a.m. - Pediatric Health Fair Opens
8:30 a.m. - 5K starts
9 a.m. - Kids Fun Run
9:30 a.m. - Drawings and Awards
10 a.m. - Health Fair Ends
