Long Beach's mission is to advocate on behalf of kids in our community in the public policy arena. One of the ways we care for children is by advocating with legislators and government agencies to help improve pediatric health care, on a local, state and national level.
Public policies are critical to a children’s hospital's ability to care for all children, through clinical care, training, research and public health. Miller Children’s, along with other children’s hospitals, and the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA), works with policy makers to ensure children’s unique health care needs are not overlooked and every child has access to high quality, cost effective care.
